Decided to re-write my article about smartphones, so you can read that now. I might add some pictures in the technology section of this website, but for now the image tags are empty. I've started to focus on fixing my sleep schedule and getting better sleep at night, which has been successful so far. I've realized that I feel like I don't have much time to get stuff done after I get home from school. If I have certain obligations, I have even less time. Maybe I just need to get better at time management.

I've been trying to get my hands on a VHS player for several months now. A family member was going to help me with that, but nothing has come of it. I found some old VHS tapes in the basement that I'd like to digitize. According to the Internet, VHS tapes degrade in quality over the years. Some of the VHS tapes I found are from the 80s, so they've probably already degraded a bit.

I also want to get a CRT TV. For some reason, people seem to think older technology is worth more money than it is. This was not the case 5+ years ago, so why is this suddenly a thing? A family member left their Nintendo 64 here a few months ago, so I've been playing it a lot. The Nintendo 64 looks so bad on modern TVs because it was not meant to be played on modern TVs. CRT TVs were made in a time where products were made to last. Nowadays modern TVs are very breakable and they'll sometimes just stop working for no reason. Ideally I want a 9 inch CRT TV that I can put on my desk. I don't really care about quality (people who care about graphics are retarded imo) so that's not a problem for me. I could write an entire article about how much I hate modern TVs. Hm, maybe I will.

The N64 has some great games. I haven't really played video games much the past year-or-so because modern video games suck. I'm starting to notice a pattern... I'd like to get my own N64 soon. The N64 is not breakable (unlike modern consoles), you don't have to wait 5 years for a game to install (just pop the cartridge in and play), and the games were actually fun. Nowadays, games are released unfinished. Lots of games are live service, which is a bad thing. You need to wait for the devs to update the game and fix stuff that should've been fixed day one. In the 90s, there were no updates. Developers would just release a finished product. You also didn't have to worry about a game shutting down because it's a live service game. The absolute state of modern video games...

Another realization I've made recently is that I've become a data hoarder. It's nowhere near as bad as some people, but I've started to go through my hard drive(s) and do a bit of spring cleaning on them. I hate deleting things, but I've started with files that are just completely useless and serve absolutely no purpose. I could just buy more hard drives, but I'd rather not propagate a hoarding mindset.

Decided to restart my website. It's now hosted on neocities rather than my own server and domain. I wanted a fresh start and hosting everything myself isn't really necessary. I have plenty of other things going on in my personal life right now, so updating this website is not a top priority. I'll update things when I find time to do so.
